Our Mission and Community
Saturday Christian Fellowship is a community of believers dedicated to studying the Bible and exploring the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith.
We aim to foster a deeper understanding of the Scriptures by studying the Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) as the foundation for the rest of Scripture. We explore the prophetic significance of Bible passages and their connections to Yeshua (Jesus).
Our gatherings are marked by open discussions, where everyone is encouraged to share relevant insights and questions, learning together.
Led by elders and a committee, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all who seek to grow in their Christian faith.
The Importance of Saturday Gatherings
Meeting on the Sabbath is central to our identity at Saturday Christian Fellowship. The Sabbath is a day set apart for rest and spiritual reflection. Observing the Sabbath allows us to pause from the busyness of life and focus on our relationships with YHWH (God) and each other. It is a time for communal praise and worship, Bible study, and fellowship, reinforcing our commitment to the values and teachings of the Bible.
In addition to our weekly gatherings, we also meet on the other Holy Days outlined in Leviticus 23.
Observing the Holy Days
Biblical Significance of the Feasts
“These are My appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.” – Leviticus 23:2
The Appointed Times (Moedim in Hebrew) outlined in Leviticus 23, sometimes referred to as “The Feasts”, hold profound significance for our community. These Holy Days are divine appointments that connect us deeply with our Creator, offering a time for reflection, renewal, and rejoicing.
God (יהוה) set apart these Appointed Times as memorials to historical events but also as prophetic pointers. The High Sabbaths coincide with key events in His divine plan: Yeshua (Jesus) died on Passover and was resurrected on the Feast of First Fruits. The Holy Spirit was poured out on the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot). We believe that the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles will be fulfilled during Yeshua’s Second Coming.
By observing these Holy Days, as much as we are able, we align ourselves with the rhythm of God’s calendar, experiencing more of the richness of His Word and the joy of fellowship.
These gatherings offer opportunities to reflect on the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith, to celebrate Yeshua’s resurrection and victory over eternal death, and anticipate the future fulfilment of the promises of the LORD (יהוה). Through these observances, we deepen our faith and our understanding of the Scriptures, drawing closer to the heart of the LORD.
